Encore is a happy, friendly club, run professionaly with efficiency and effective communication.
Our priority is always to our club members, ensuring that they all recieve maximum possible enjoyment and benefit from the club and from the sport of Baton Twirling.
Our classes cover everything from Twirling, Dance, Gym, Pom Dance & general fitness and flexibility. We try to keep our classes fun & varied, with the emphasis on FUN!
All classes are taught by fully qualified coaches. Our Head Coach & Club Leader Dawn, is a qualiied BBTSA Level 1 National Coach and also a BBTSA Grades Teacher & Examiner, with over 20yrs experience in Baton Twirling & Dance. From time to time we will bring in guest coaches from the BBTSA and other dance & gym organisations to allow our athletes to benefit from the vast amount of experience many of these coaches have.
All Coaches and staff are Fully Enhanced CRB Certified.
As the club becomes more established we will be taking part part in competition in the BBTSA (British Baton Twirling Sports Association)
and in the MBTSA (Manx Baton Twirling Sports Association)
HISTORY OF THE CLUB
After many years of being competing & teaching Baton Twirling Dawn decided to get her own daughters Tyla & Saffron involved in Twirling, opening her own club in Bradford. They now compete at a national level and Tyla is a member of the England National Team's Development Squad. The Bradford club sadly had to be closed as Dawn and her family moved to Blackpool in the summer of 2010 but soon realised that there were no clubs in the area offering the range of activities that Baton Twirling does, so Encore was re-born in Blackpool.
